Headquarters of an
important religious community for eleven centuries, the village of St Chef possesses
a jewel of the French Romanesque art with its Benedictine abbey that still
houses frescoes from the 12th century. This historical site was also the cradle
of the French writer Frédéric Dard, author of the San-Antonio series.
