Located 630 m above sea level and stretching over 10 km, the Monteynard Lake forms a natural separation between the Trieves and Matheysine valleys. Only 45 minutes from Grenoble, this lake, which can be seen from the famous train of La Mure, offers astonishing aspects. The turquoise blue water, stunning canyons and some very steep banks, make a mysterious setting that has become a paradise for windsurfers, fishermen but also people who love contemplating beautiful sceneries during short cruises organized on the bateau de la Mira.

Run by volunteers and town support, the small Signaraux / La Motte Aveillans resort welcomes you at an altitude between 1200m and 1700m. Second Marian place for pilgrimage in France after Lourdes, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of La Salette was built on the exact spot where the Marian apparition is said to have occurred to two young shepherds from Corps in 1846. An interesting ex-voto collection can also be seen in the Musée de l’Apparition
